Concrete has been poured

Concrete footings have been poured as part of the foundation. Next a 3 foot wall of cinderblock and rebar will go up on top. Stay tuned. I know this is boring but exciting to us!

Concrete should be poured this week for the new foundation. We are still happy in the trailer watching the progress

Digging for new foundation

They have been digging for new foundation this week. Collecting lots of river rocks from the ground which we can use later.

Molly is confused

We are moving the dog beds in and out of the trailer,but I forgot one day and we found Molly in the cat bed. The pets have been a bit traumatized by this project,but slowly adjusting.

Apple tree is loaded!

This apple tree came with the house and we've been eating these apples for 24 years. So happy that it won't be in the way of construction.

House is really gone!

Here's a view from the backyard looking to the street and our cabin/trailer. As you can see all that is there is the original foundation. Next step will be digging lots of trenches!
